Make Money Online with Affiliate Programs

home business, work from home, make money, Hinkley

Sept 09, 2008

Affiliate Programs are an excellent way for the new internet entrepreneur to start a make money online business. It’s a great way to promote not only your site but also the affiliate programs you promote from your site. As you can see, joining affiliate programs can be a terrific way to create an entirely new income stream for your company – with very little investment or effort on your part.

Affiliate programs work best when affiliates choose products, services and companies that match the content of their Web site and would interest their readers. If a content Web site chooses affiliate programs well, everybody involved in the process wins. The affiliate wins because it is able to sell products to its visitors without having to run an e-commerce business, the merchant site wins because the affiliate sends it customers it wouldn’t get otherwise, the affiliate network wins because it gets a piece of the profit for setting everything up, and the Web surfer wins because the affiliate Web site directs her to products she would be interested in, which she can then purchase easily. It’s a win, win for a make money online business.

One way which works well for many people is to concentrate on a small niche. Choose a topic in which you are passionately interested, and create a website around that theme. Then select affiliate programs which closely fit the theme of your site and blend them into the site, using text links.

If possible, write about the products from first-hand knowledge, so that you become a respected, credible source of reliable information. The more targeted your traffic, the more likely it is that people will buy. This ia
a great to make money online.

The huge advantage of basing a business on a topic in which you are passionately interested is that you will enjoy running your make money online business – it will be much more like a fascinating hobby than a job.

So go out there, create your website, research the Affiliate programs and start a make money online business. Hint – check Amazon first.

Home Business – Protect Yourself Against Scams

Sept 05, 2008

So you found a home business, but you want to know if it is a legitimate and honest before you jump in. That sure makes sense to me. Many people think about starting their own home business, but are apprehensive because they are afraid of being scammed. Protect yourself by researching the opportunity and company, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is a scam.

Are you aware of the fact, that there are many agencies you can use to check if a company is legitimate? Of course, you also have NewsGroups on the Internet to check on various home businesses and work at home programs and companies. Of course, the main issue here is to protect yourself. I hope the following information will be of some help.

* National Fraud Information Center: http://www.fraud.org

* Better Business Bureau: “http://bbb.org — There is a link to locate the BBB in your area. You will also find information on work at home opportunities and scams.

* The US Postal Service: http://www.usps.com/postal inspectors — The USPS has several pages that include, work at home scams, multi-level-marketing schemes and how to file a mail fraud complaint.

* Scam Busters: http://www.scmambusters.com
* WorldWide Scam: http://www.worldwidescam.com

* The Federal Trade Commission: http://www.ftc.gov

* The National Consumer League (National Fraud Information Center: http://nclnet.org

NewsGroups

* Google Groups: http://nclnet.org

* Yahoo Groups: http://www.groups.yahoo.com

You have all these agencies and groups in your corner. It would be very foolish if you did not take advantage of their services and information.

If you have already been scammed, you can report the company to the following agencies and/or perhaps they can help you get a refund,

1.) The National Fraud Information Center – 1-800-876-7060 or http://www.groups.yahoo.com

2.) The Attorney General in your state

3.) The Better Business Bureau – http://www.groups.yahoo.com

4.) The Internet Fraud Complaint Center – http://www.ifccfbi.gov

5.) The Federal Trade Commission – 1-800-876-7060 or http://www.ifccfbi.gov

Please take the time to protect yourself. It’s not very difficult and later on down the road you’ll be glad you did. Oh, and by the way, Good Luck with your new Home Business!

A New Home Business – Event Planner

A New Home Business – Event Planner

Aug 24, 2008

Why not be an Event Planner. This sounds more like fun than work, but it is actually work, one that you can successfully run with your Event planners are especially important to the corporate world, although some clients could be private. The first step of course is to determine if it is a corporate home business or a social event.

It’s up to the client to advise the event planner what type of event and the proposed budget. The event planner then arranges everything including finding the correct venue, issuing invitations, catering, transportation and accommodations. Any special needs are also the responsibility of the event planner. After the objectives are clear, the client and planner will decide where to hold the event, who the attendees will be, where they are traveling from and what transportation arrangements are needed. All these arrangements can be made at your home business.

In addition, the event planner will arrange for catering, communications, labor, meeting facilities, printing and supplies, entertainment, speakers, gratuities, awards, insurance and anything else that may be required for the specific event in question. The event planner, of course, relies on third parties to actually provide these services and will have an established network of contacts with suppliers and vendors among caterers, hotels, travel agencies, printers, furniture/ equipment and so on. The arrangements with the third parties were made previously when the event planner set up his/her home home business

Charges issued by event planners are varied. Some planners charge a percentage of the total cost of the event, while others charge the client an hourly wage. In either case, event planners must require a deposit to get things rolling. As you become more accustom to your new home business, you will gain knowledge as to how much deposit is necessary.

As with any home business, in the beginning event planners should expect long hours and low pay. As your experience and reputation improves so will the money. Unfortunately, the hours will probably always be long, but there’s time for resting between events. Your personal qualities should include leadership, organization skills and attention to every little detail.

A calm disposition is required for your new home business. This is essential for any event planner as things rarely go smoothly as planned. Be ready for that last minute disaster!
